How Often and How to Wash 13x4 Human Hair Lace Wigs

We all know you have to take good care of your human hair wig. But at the end of the day, many of us really don't know exactly how to protect our human hair wigs. So, join us today to learn the details of hair care.

How often should I wash 13X4 human hair wig?
Do you face this problem when you wear a human hair wig? Here you can find the answer.

Keep in mind that human hair wigs don't need to be washed as often as your natural hair. When to wash your human hair wig depends on how often you wear it and what type of damage it incurs while wearing. Here you can determine how often you should wash your human hair wig based on the following.

If you wear your 13x4 lace front wig every day, then it should be washed at least every two weeks.

If you use styling products like hairspray, mousse, or hairspray on your wig every day, then you'll need to wash your wig more often, about once a week.

Or if you don't wear it often, wash it every 7 to 10 times.

For those who wear wigs, participate in swimming or high-intensity physical activities, and sweat a lot, then it is recommended to do a "quick wash" of the wig, rinse the hair with a small amount of shampoo, then apply a moisturizing conditioner spray, then let it drip dry.

How to Wash 13X4 Human Hair Lace Wigs?
Now that you know how often to wash it, it's time to figure out how to clean a human hair wig. You'll find that you can complete your wig-cleaning ritual in just five easy steps.

Step-by-Step Guide to Wash a Wig
Step 1: Detangle

You should use a wide-toothed wig comb, a wig brush, or your fingers to gently untie the wig. If your wig is curly, wrapping it with your fingers works best. It's best to start from the bottom and work your way up toward the roots.

Step 2: Soak

The next step is to get your human hair wig wet. Run your wig under the faucet and completely submerge it with cool or lukewarm water. After rinsing, gently remove excess water by hand or use a towel to absorb excess water and prepare to wash the wig. Take your time - don't twist to wring it out.

It's important not to use too much force when shampooing - avoid scrubbing or rubbing your human hair wig too hard, as this can damage your wig. For best results, use a cleansing shampoo made specifically for wigs. These shampoos are gentle enough to not damage your wig, and they're specially designed for your wig's needs. To wash off the shampoo, rinse the bottom of the hair with cold water from the roots down. After washing off the shampoo, the water is clear, and before applying the conditioner, gently blot your hair with a towel. The wig can still be wet, but you don't want it soaking through.

Step 3: Rinse

Wash your wig thoroughly again. Be gentle when rinsing and never twist or wring out your wig.

Step 4: Condition

Now you're ready to condition. Just like the shampoo, you need to use a wig-approved moisturizing conditioner. Start at the bottom and dab a little on the wig. Run your fingers lightly through the strands to keep the conditioner away from the roots of the wig. You will need to allow the conditioner to sit on the surface of the wig for one to five minutes, following the directions on the conditioner. When the time is up, run cold water from the top of the wig down to the ends of the strands, making sure to remove all the conditioner before blotting dry.

Wait 2 minutes before rinsing the conditioner out with cold water. Leaving the conditioner on the wig for a few minutes will allow the nourishing oils to penetrate the hair and hydrate it—just like the hair that grows out of your head. Once the 2 minutes are up, rinse the wig with cold water again until the water runs clear

Step 5: Dry

Carefully place the wig on a towel or t-shirt and pat dry. Don't let your wig hang while it's soaking wet. The weight of the water can stretch and damage your wig.
